Chevron, Halliburton Eye Venezuela Oil Opportunities Amid US Push
The U.S. government is pushing American companies to help rebuild Venezuela's oil industry, and Chevron and Halliburton are reportedly leading the charge.
Chevron is nearing a deal to add two heavy-oil fields to its existing Venezuelan portfolio, according to The Wall Street Journal. This would mark an expansion of the company's operations in the country.
Halliburton, one of the largest U.S. oil-field-services companies, is also in talks to supply equipment and services to Venezuelan oil producers.
