Chevron Leads Gas Contribution in Nigeria, Aims for Zero Flaring

Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is the highest contributor of gas among International Oil and Gas Companies operating in Nigeria, according to Dr. Victor Anyaegbudike, Manager and Chief Communications Officer for Chevron's Nigeria and Mid Africa Region.

Dr. Anyaegbudike spoke at a workshop on oil and gas reporting in Asaba on August 24, where he explained that CNL has reduced gas flaring to 98%, with a commitment to reach zero percent flaring.

CNL is investing heavily in Nigeria, aiming for improvement in communication and information dissemination. Chevron's GMoU module was used for the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which has helped reduce challenges in host communities across the Niger Delta.
