Chevron Seeks Greater Investment in Bangladesh Gas Sector

US-based energy giant Chevron is keen to invest more in Bangladesh's gas sector to strengthen the country's energy security and meet its growing demand. A high-level delegation led by Javier La Rosa, President of Base Assets and Emerging Countries at Chevron, met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday. The meeting focused on increasing investment in existing and ageing gas fields and exploring new ones.

The delegation expressed interest in strengthening Bangladesh's energy security through investments, according to reports from the Prime Minister's office. Chevron Bangladesh President and Managing Director Shu Xiong was also present at the meeting along with other senior officials.
