Chevron Signs 20-Year Power Deal with Microsoft in Pecos, Texas
Chevron's subsidiary Energy Forge One has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Microsoft for a new gas-fired plant in Pecos, Texas.
The planned facility will supply electricity for Microsoft's data center operations and help alleviate regional power infrastructure constraints.
The project is expected to create demand for stranded natural gas from the Permian Basin that currently lacks sufficient takeaway capacity.
