Chevron Sought to Boost Gas Investment in Bangladesh
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met with a high-level delegation from Chevron, led by Javier La Rosa, President of BAEC, at his office in the Bangladesh Secretariat. The Prime Minister sought increased investment from Chevron to explore new gas fields and strengthen energy security.
The meeting focused on Chevron's investment in existing and ageing gas fields as well as exploring new ones to meet Bangladesh's growing energy demand.
Prime Minister's Adviser on Finance and Planning Dr Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, State Minister for Power and Energy Aninda Islam Amit, Chevron Bangladesh President and Managing Director Shu Xiong were present at the meeting.
