Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) reported stronger-than-expected second-quarter earnings on Friday, exceeding analyst estimates. The company's adjusted earnings per share came in at $6.06, beating the estimated $5.56. Total revenues and other income rose 56.3% to $70.06 billion, outpacing the predicted $61.97 billion.

Chevron CEO Mike Wirth attributed the company's strong performance to disciplined investment and execution, which drove record U.S. upstream production, crude throughput in refineries, and reliability across key assets. Despite this, Chevron shares fell 0.8% to trade at $195.38 on Monday.

Analysts have adjusted their price targets following the earnings announcement. Barclays' Betty Jiang maintained a rating of Equal-Weight while increasing her target from $213 to $216. Bernstein's Bob Brackett also raised his target from $204 to $209, keeping a Market Perform rating.
