China's Import Expo Showcases Global Trade Opportunities
The Chinese Import Expo (CIFTIS) is underway in Beijing on Thursday. The event will continue until September 13 at Shougang Park, where representatives from 90 countries and international organizations are attending, along with over 1,800 companies showcasing their products.
Among the participating companies are 473 of the Fortune Global 500 list, including Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, and Siemens. The expo is themed 'Providing high-quality services and promoting economic growth for all', where new technologies and innovations will be showcased.
Zimbabwe's Vice President Constantino Chiwenga attended the event, stating that he believes it will help his country find investment opportunities in trade and technology sectors, as well as attract foreign investors. He mentioned the expo's potential to increase Zimbabwe's exports of goods such as textiles and minerals.
