Chipotle Expands Board with Veteran Global Leader

Chipotle Mexican Grill has expanded its board of directors to 11 members and appointed Sabir Sami, a veteran executive with over 30 years in global consumer and restaurant businesses, as an independent director.

Sami joins Chipotle's board without any special arrangements or related-party ties. He previously served as CEO of KFC and held senior roles across Yum! Brands, Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Co., and Reckitt Benckiser.

Chipotle's Chairman Scott Maw highlighted Sami's track record leading brands across international markets as key to supporting Chipotle's ambitions to scale deliberately, strengthen operations, and expand global access to its brand.
