Chrome Gets Personalized New Tab Page
Google is rolling out a new homepage customization experience for Google Chrome users. This update brings several long-requested personalization features, allowing users to change the look of their browser's New Tab page without installing extensions or third-party themes.
The update introduces the ability to upload custom background images, choose from pre-designed color palettes, browse curated theme collections, and enable Daily Theme Refresh to automatically switch wallpapers every day.
Users can select from five theme categories: Landscapes, Architecture, Earth, Patterns, and Illustrations. This addition makes Chrome's homepage feel more dynamic and personal while maintaining a clean interface.
The feature is rolling out gradually, so users may not see the new options yet. However, it will become available in future Chrome updates or after Google enables it for their account.
