Google has released an update for its Chrome browser to fix multiple vulnerabilities, including one that is being actively exploited in the wild. The new version, Chrome 152.0.7977.82/.83, patches a total of 12 flaws, most of which are graded as high severity.

The most critical vulnerability is a 'type confusion in V8' bug, discovered by security researcher Salvatore Gulizia. This bug allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page.

Gulizia was awarded $1,000 for his discovery, but Google chose not to share details about the vulnerability until most browsers are protected. The patch fixes CVE-2026-85046 and affects other browsers built on Chromium, including Edge, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi.
