Circle Internet Group Inc.'s Shares Surge on Bitcoin Rally and IBM Deal
Circle Internet Group Inc., the parent company of Circle, has seen its shares jump sharply after positive crypto regulatory developments and a significant deal with IBM. The company's stock is trading up by 4.94 percent in premarket action.
The rise in CRCL's stock price follows bitcoin's surge above $71,000. As other crypto-linked equities and ETFs saw a strong bid, Circle Internet Group Inc.'s shares jumped more than 9% when bitcoin first powered through $70,000, helped by a favorable policy signal from a Trump meeting with crypto executives.
Circle Internet recently acquired a large portion of IBM's global blockchain patent portfolio, including over 680 patent families and nearly 1,000 issued patents. This deal lifted CRCL about 2% in premarket trading and adds a more fundamental layer to the story.
