Cisco Aligns Physical Security with Network Environment
Cisco has announced an integration with Axis Communications, a leading network video security company, to bring greater visibility and consistency to both networking and physical security environments.
The integration, built with Axis Cloud Connect, enables customers to securely deploy, connect, and manage Axis devices through the Meraki dashboard within Cisco Cloud Control. This allows IT and physical security teams to manage Axis devices alongside their Cisco network and Cisco Smart Cameras, reducing the need for separate, site-by-site management.
The integration also extends the Cisco cloud-managed operating model to include Axis devices and their broad device portfolio. Through close collaboration, Cisco and Axis are advancing a shared vision for the future of physical security and IT, with a focus on privacy by design, encryption, and secure boot.
