Cisco and Infleqtion Join Forces for Quantum Networking Breakthrough
Infleqtion and Cisco have announced a partnership to explore research and development focused on connecting and scaling quantum systems.
The collaboration aims to combine Cisco's networking technology with Infleqtion's neutral-atom quantum computers and sensors, enabling the creation of distributed networks that link individual quantum devices together.
Cisco is developing an end-to-end quantum networking stack designed to distribute quantum entanglement across connected devices, while Infleqtion's systems combine quantum memory with multi-modal computing and sensing.
The partnership will focus on three research areas: network architectures for data transfer between quantum sensors and computational nodes, methods to convert quantum states in neutral-atom systems with optical channels, and coordination of quantum workloads across connected systems.
