Cisco and Splunk Unite to Revolutionize Observability with AI

Cisco and Splunk have joined forces to transform observability through artificial intelligence (AI), which they call 'AI for Observability.' The goal is to create a single, correlated operational system that ties together network, security operations, and AI infrastructure using Splunk as the data and action layer.

This effort aims to replace fragmented views of network data with a shared operational context, linking network data to application behavior, infrastructure performance, security events, and AI-agent activity. The unified experience will be put to the test in heterogeneous customer environments.

The most important announcement for network engineers is the new Network Intelligence App for Splunk Observability, which brings Cisco network topology, device health, and event data into Splunk. This integrated view can save hours by eliminating dashboard switching and manual correlation that plague engineers today.
