Cisco Nexus Switches Hit by Critical Vulnerability, Leaving Networks Exposed

A critical vulnerability in Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches has been identified, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as root.

The flaw, known as CVE-2026-20212, affects devices equipped with Silicon One ASICs and exposes TCP ports 43210 or 43211 by default in the Layer 3 VRF.

Successful exploitation can result in full device compromise, network disruption, and potential lateral movement within enterprise or data center environments.
