Cisco Offers Cybersecurity Scholarships Amid Brazilian Talent Shortage
Cisco is offering five professional training scholarships through its CyberEducation program in Brazil. The initiative is now accepting applications for its 13th edition, which has already seen over 400 participants register.
The program allows anyone to participate by starting with a free six-hour online course that requires no prior technical knowledge. After completing the course, students will be eligible to compete for one of five full scholarships for 140 hours of professional training in the Networks and Cybersecurity tracks of the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST).
The training is expected to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in Brazil, which is forecasted to invest R$104.6 billion in cybersecurity by 2028. According to a report by Brasscom, this growth is limited by a shortage of qualified professionals.
