Cisco Sees $7.5B AI Infrastructure Boom by Fiscal 2027
Cisco Systems' chief executive Chuck Robbins has stated that accelerating AI adoption is driving a 'networking supercycle' in infrastructure spending.
The company expects its hyperscale business to generate $7.5bn in AI infrastructure revenue by fiscal 2027, up from over $1bn booked during fiscal 2026.
This projection is based on the company's fourth-quarter and fiscal-year 2026 results, which showed non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.22 on revenue of $17.3bn, beating Street estimates.
Investors have been cautious in their response to the news, with shares initially falling after hours before steadying, closing at $113.33 and still below its 20-day high of $125.49.
