Cisco Systems Sees Strong Earnings Growth Amid AI Infrastructure Push
Cisco Systems' latest earnings report has provided a boost to the company's investment narrative. The tech giant recently announced past fourth-quarter 2026 revenue of US$17,252 million and net income of US$3,859 million. Additionally, Cisco reaffirmed its quarterly dividend of US$0.42 and updated its fiscal 2027 guidance, expecting revenue between US$72.2 billion to US$73.4 billion and GAAP EPS of US$4.00 to US$4.06.
The company's emergence as a key supplier for AI-enabled video streaming infrastructure is also drawing attention. This new growth area, combined with its existing core networking, security, and AI business, positions Cisco for steady profit growth despite rising competition from cloud providers.
However, investors should be aware that the company's reliance on large AI and cloud customers poses a risk. If hyperscale AI orders slow or shift to rival vendors, Cisco's AI-driven revenue expectations could be severely impacted.
