Cisco Tops Forrester's Datacentre Network Solutions Ranking
Nvidia's claims of being the largest networking company in the world may be overstated, according to Forrester Research. In its latest datacentre network solutions Wave report, Forrester places Cisco as the market leader in this space, with Arista and Huawei following closely behind.
Cisco's dominance is attributed to its strong security protocols and unified platform anchored by the Nexus dashboard. Analysts praise Cisco for lacking any major weaknesses in capabilities, although some customers have expressed concerns over Nexus' stability and maturity.
Forrester also commends Arista for its AI-led innovations and strong customer and partner engagement focus. Huawei, ranked third, is praised for its engineering-led innovation and sharp roadmap, as well as its strong presence in largescale datacentre networking within and outside of China.
