Cisco Updates Certifications to Keep Up with Rapidly Evolving Technology Landscape
The technology landscape is rapidly evolving, driven in part by the increasing use of AI. As a result, networking professionals must adapt their skills to remain job-ready.
Cisco Systems Inc. has announced updates across its Learn with Cisco certification portfolio, designed to help IT and networking professionals thrive in an AI-driven era.
The Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification has been updated for the first time since 2019. The new blueprint focuses on essential skills such as network infrastructure, troubleshooting and problem-solving, security mindset development, and understanding AI's role in network management and operations.
The CCIE AI Deploy, Operate, and Optimize Module is also being introduced, which will assess candidates' ability to use AI tools for network operations. The module includes an AI assistant for configuration, troubleshooting, and code creation, as well as soft and augmented engineering topics.
