Clearway and Microsoft Launch 20-Year Community Energy Fund in West Virginia
Clearway Energy Group and Microsoft have partnered to establish a Community Energy Fund in West Virginia, supporting local initiatives through a 20-year agreement.
The $4.5 million initial grant round will support workforce development, emergency preparedness, education, home weatherization, small business development, and tourism infrastructure.
The fund is part of the long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) between Clearway and Microsoft for the Mount Storm Energy Center wind project in Grant County, West Virginia.
The Sustain Our Future Foundation will administer the fund, overseeing grant distribution and working with community members to identify priorities for future funding cycles.
