Cloud giants Microsoft, Amazon, and Salesforce are investing heavily in AI technology. Their spending patterns reveal where cloud demand is headed and the scale of AI infrastructure buildout expected in the coming years.

Microsfot leads with a massive $115.95 billion capex for cloud infrastructure, indicating strong contracted demand with a $678 billion backlog and Azure reaching $100 billion revenue.

Amazon follows closely with $54 billion in quarterly capex focused on AWS and AI, backed by a $496 billion backlog and rapid growth in AI-related services.

Salesforce invests less in infrastructure, focusing instead on AI software and services. Despite this, the company shows strong revenue growth but has a smaller capital footprint compared to its peers.
