CNL Leads Gas Production, Reduces Flaring to 98%
Chevron Nigeria Limited has emerged as the highest contributor of gas among International Oil and Gas Companies operating in Nigeria, according to Dr. Victor Anyaegbudike, Manager and Chief Communications Officer for Chevron Nigeria and Mid Africa Region.
In a workshop on Oil and Gas Reporting at Asaba, Dr. Anyaegbudike stated that CNL has made significant investments in onshore, deep onshore, and offshore platforms to increase production.
The company has also reduced gas flaring to 98%, with a commitment to achieve zero percent flaring, Dr. Anyaegbudike explained. He noted that Chevron's GMoU module was used for the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which has helped reduce challenges in host communities across the Niger Delta.
