Coca-Cola and Arca Continental Commit to $1 Billion Peruvian Investment
Coca-Cola Peru and Arca Continental Lindley, a bottling company, plan to invest $1 billion in Peru over five years to expand their business. The announcement was made during a visit by Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori to the companies' plant in Pucusana.
The investment will focus on modernizing production, operational, and market service infrastructure, according to Arca Continental Lindley's CEO Enrique Pérez Barba. This move reaffirms the company's commitment to Peru and aims to drive profitable growth that generates shared value.
As part of their social responsibility initiatives, Coca-Cola Peru and Arca Continental Lindley will provide aid to families affected by the 'Coastal El Niño' phenomenon. They have pledged to supply 2 million liters of water and 150,000 blankets made from recycled PET bottles.
The companies are also collaborating with local authorities to build a drinking water and sewage infrastructure for over 31,000 inhabitants of Pucusana. This project is valued at $74.5 million euros.
