Coca-Cola Expands Alexandria Operations with $106 Million Investment
Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc., one of the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottlers and distributors, is investing $106 million in its Alexandria operations. The upgrade will bring next-generation automation to Central Louisiana, supporting the company's continued growth.
The project includes advanced warehouse automation at the existing facility on Coliseum Blvd. This modernization aims to increase efficiency, improve order fulfillment, and strengthen the distribution network.
Coca-Cola UNITED is expected to create 50 direct new jobs with an average annual salary of $65,000, which is 26% above the average Rapides Parish wage. In addition, Louisiana Economic Development estimates that the project will result in an additional 84 indirect new jobs, for a total of 134 potential new job opportunities in the Central Region.
The company's investment reflects its long-term commitment to Louisiana and its associates. 'Our Alexandria operation has served Central Louisiana for 120 years,' said Coca-Cola UNITED West Region Vice President Scott McCallister. 'This expansion demonstrates our continued dedication to the region, our customers, and our employees.'
