Coca-Cola FEMSA Meets Water Use Target, Bonds Rate Unchanged
Coca-Cola FEMSA has achieved its sustainability performance target related to efficient water use in its KOF 21L bonds. The company's water use efficiency ratio of 1.26 liters of water per liter of beverage produced met the target, confirmed by an external verifier.
The achievement means that the interest rate applicable to the KOF 21L bonds will not change as of September 17, 2026. Coca-Cola FEMSA invested over $82 million since 2022 to strengthen its water efficiency strategy and reduce its Water Use Ratio (WUR).
The company's WUR improved by more than 20% from its 2018 baseline, positioning it as a leader in water efficiency in the beverage industry. Coca-Cola FEMSA promotes initiatives focused on strengthening sustainable water availability across its operations.
