Coca-Cola FEMSA to Unveil $500M+ Investment Plan for Colombia
Coca-Cola FEMSA and The Coca-Cola Company plan to present an investment plan for Colombia in December, according to Colombian President Abelardo de La Espriella.
The announcement was made after a meeting between the president, the companies' management, and Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism Mauricio Gomez Amin on August 31.
The investment plan is set to be presented in Barranquilla in December during FEMSA's centennial celebrations. The facility operates in Barranquilla and was expanded in 2024 with an investment of about $80 million.
Coca-Cola FEMSA has seven production facilities, 22 distribution centers, and more than 9,000 direct jobs in Colombia. The company has also invested nearly $500 million in sustainability programs and capacity expansion in recent years.
