A class action lawsuit has been filed against The Coca-Cola Company in response to a ransomware attack on its dairy company, Fairlife. The breach occurred on July 16 and was caused by the Anubis ransomware group, which claimed to have stolen a terabyte of confidential data from the company.

The lawsuit, filed by current and former employees of Coca-Cola and Fairlife, alleges that the company failed to properly maintain and implement security practices for its network and systems. As a result, sensitive employee information, including Social Security numbers, was compromised in the attack.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages, reimbursement for credit monitoring fees, and other costs associated with protecting themselves financially from potential identity theft and fraud. They also want Coca-Cola to provide lifetime credit monitoring and identity theft insurance to affected employees.
