Coca-Cola HBC Achieves Sustainability Milestones, Sets New Targets for 2040
Coca-Cola HBC has made significant progress in its sustainability efforts, meeting or exceeding most of its Mission 2025 targets. The company's CEO, Zoran Bogdanovic, credits the success to the collaboration with teams and partners. Coca-Cola HBC aims to achieve net zero emissions across its value chain by 2040, with an interim target to reduce absolute emissions by 30% by 2030.
The company has also launched new sustainability targets under Mission Refresh, which include achieving a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2040 and replenishing every drop of water used in beverages by 2035. Coca-Cola HBC aims to increase rPET content in bottles to 40% and remove 12,000 metric tonnes of plastic packaging by 2030.
The company's sustainability performance has been recognized externally, including being ranked as the world's most sustainable beverage company in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for the ninth time. Coca-Cola HBC is committed to creating value for its communities, partners, and the environment while strengthening its resilience.
