Coca-Cola HBC Boosts Guidance on Strong Volume Growth
Coca-Cola HBC's first half results were boosted by warmer weather and the FIFA Men's World Cup, driving volume growth across its markets.
The company reported emerging market volume growth of 9%, with organic volumes up by 7.5% to 1.57 billion unit cases.
This was largely due to a 26% increase in energy drink sales, thanks to the introduction of new Monster flavours.
Growth in sparkling drinks was also strong at 6%, driven by high sales of Coke Zero as the company promoted its products during the World Cup.
