Coca-Cola Pledges $10 Billion for US Infrastructure by 2030
Coca-Cola has announced plans to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure by 2030. This investment will be made across various projects, including those previously announced in states like California, Colorado, Alabama, and New York.
The company's CFO, John Murphy, noted that the $10 billion figure is a system-wide total, encompassing both Coca-Cola's own capital expenditure and investments from its bottling partners.
Coca-Cola also highlighted the significant economic contributions of its US operation. A study commissioned by the beverage giant found that the company's US system generated $85 billion in gross domestic product (GDP) in a single year, supporting nearly 1 million jobs.
The study further revealed that the Coca-Cola system spent approximately $37 billion with US suppliers and contributed $177 million to community programs through its foundation and scholars program.
