Coca-Cola Raises Revenue Guidance Following Strong Q2 Performance
Coca-Cola posted stronger-than-expected sales and earnings for its fiscal second quarter, prompting it to raise its full-year revenue growth forecast.
The company generated $13.4 billion in revenue and $0.97 earnings per share for the quarter ending June, surpassing analysts' estimates.
This represents a rise from $12.6 billion in revenue and $0.87 earnings per share compared to last year's same period.
The company increased its unit volume by 5% and saw profit margins slightly wider during this time.
Coca-Cola has also raised its full-year revenue growth projection to the higher end of 4% to 5%, while earnings per share are now expected to grow 9% to 10%, up from prior estimates of 8% to 9%.
