Coca-Cola Scores Big with World Cup Marketing Campaign
Coca-Cola has reported better-than-expected second-quarter numbers, driven by its World Cup marketing campaign.
The company's marketing efforts around the tournament generated 60 billion impressions, 9 billion views, and data on over 25 million consumers who interacted with packaging.
This led to a 5% increase in sales by volume for Coca-Cola, with Powerade rising 8%, according to the company.
Coca-Cola CEO Henrique Braun attributed the success to the brand's ability to adapt to changing consumer behavior, saying 'Consumers are evaluating how they shop, what they value and what they want to put in their basket.'
