Coca-Cola Shines After Strong Q2 Earnings Exceed Expectations
Morgan Stanley has highlighted Coca-Cola as a top performer in the beverage sector following its strong quarterly earnings. The investment bank's analysis focused on companies demonstrating robust operational performance and revenue growth trends.
Coca-Cola's second-quarter results exceeded expectations, driven by a 5% unit case growth that significantly surpassed the consensus estimate of 2.2%. Organic sales growth reached 7%, combining unit case volume with 2% price/mix, which topped the 5.0% consensus forecast.
The company raised its full-year organic sales growth guidance to the high end of the prior 4-5% range, and comparable full-year earnings per share guidance increased by approximately 100 basis points. Morgan Stanley views this as conservative given Coca-Cola's strong performance.
