The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) reported its quarterly results and exceeded analyst forecasts. The shares rose by 9.0% to US$88.49 after the company announced a statutory profit of US$1.03 per share, a notable 12% above expectations.

This result was in line with revenues of US$13 billion predicted by analysts, but still a positive outcome for the company's shareholders. The consensus among analysts is that there has been no significant change to Coca-Cola's business prospects following these results.

The consensus estimates from 18 analysts indicate that they expect revenues in 2026 to be around US$49.7 billion, which is approximately in line with the last 12 months. Statutory per-share earnings are forecasted to be US$3.35, also in line with the previous year.

The consensus price target rose by 7.2% to US$94.70 despite no significant change to earnings estimates. The analysts' increased optimism could be due to the predictability of Coca-Cola's earnings, which might justify a price premium.
