Coca-Cola's Dividend Streak Continues Uninterrupted
Coca-Cola (KO) is one of the few companies that have managed to consistently raise their dividend payouts for over six decades. With a 64-year streak, it's no wonder they're known as one of the market's rare Dividend Kings. The company has transformed its business model in recent years, shifting from a capital-intensive operation to an asset-light focus on selling concentrates and syrups.
The shift has lifted Coca-Cola's already impressive profit margins even higher. In the second quarter, global case volume rose by 5% year over year, boosting revenue by 7% to $13.4 billion. Adjusted net income also increased by 6% to nearly $4.2 billion, giving the company a net margin of 31%. This is significantly higher than the S&P 500 index's average profitability.
Coca-Cola's free cash flow for the first half of the year clocked in at $6.9 billion, providing ample funds for continued dividend hikes. The consensus analyst projection for annual earnings per share (EPS) is $3.34, more than 11% higher than the 2025 number. Revenue is expected to rise by over 3% to $49.7 billion.
The company's fundamentals and payout are slated to rise again at the start of 2027, making Coca-Cola an attractive investment opportunity for those seeking a reliable dividend payer.
