Coca-Cola's Holiday Ads Get a Refresh This Season
Coca-Cola is revamping its Christmas advertising campaign this year, bringing back a classic commercial from several years ago and debuting a new ad called 'Snow globe'.
The iconic 'Holidays are coming' ad will return on November 12th for one month before the new 'Snow globe' commercial takes over on December 13th. The campaign has been created by McCann in Madrid, with the new ad featuring people who are lonely and away from loved ones.
The camera pans out to reveal that these characters are inside a glass snow globe sitting on Santa's workshop desk, where he is enjoying a Coca-Cola. As Santa tips the globe, the 'Shake Up Christmas' song by Train starts playing, causing the Coca-Cola delivery trucks to roll into action and reunite the couple and bring the grocery clerk home to his family.
The TV ads will be supported by outdoor and cinema advertising, as well as a digital 'Snow globe' format. The company is also partnering with Xbox Kinect for an interactive promotion and bringing its iconic lorry from the classic ad to the UK for the first time.
