Coca-Cola's Resurgence: Investors Missing Key Factor in Company's Growth
Andrew Sather, co-host of The Investing for Beginners Podcast, points out that many investors are missing an important aspect of Coca-Cola's (KO) performance. The company has raised its 2026 guidance to comparable EPS growth of between 9% and 10%, and its stock price has surged 27% year to date, pushing its P/E to 29.
Sather argues that investors are only considering one engine driving stock returns: the business's earnings. However, he believes that the second engine, buying stocks whose growth the market refuses to acknowledge, is more profitable and often overlooked.
He uses Coca-Cola as an example of a company whose growth has been underestimated by the market. The company reported strong revenue and adjusted EPS in its second quarter, beating analyst expectations for the fifth consecutive time. Its guidance was also raised, with organic revenue growth expected to be around 5%.
