Coinbase Brings Tokenized Stocks to Global Traders
Coinbase has launched tokenized equities on its Base network, featuring major U.S. companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Meta, and Alphabet.
The platform's debut selection includes shares from these four corporations, with each digital token representing a direct 1:1 claim on actual shares custodied by Alpaca Securities.
Access to these digital securities is restricted to qualified international investors, and trading operates under the regulatory framework of Abu Dhabi Global Market through Coinbase’s proprietary B20 protocol.
The global tokenized equity market capitalization now stands at roughly $2.48 billion, registering a 5.2% gain in the last month.
