Congressman's Autopilot Apple Buys Reveal Consistent Investment Strategy
Rep. Ed Case (D-Hawaii) has been buying Apple stock on autopilot since 2024, according to recent filings. The congressman's latest purchase was made by his wife in August, using an automatic dividend reinvestment plan. This trade marked the 10th time Case bought Apple stock this year, and it continues a streak of only purchasing Apple shares since 2024.
Case has been buying $1,000 to $15,000 worth of Apple stock every quarter with his dividends. The last non-Apple transaction made by Case was in 2025, when he sold Procter & Gamble shares. His and his wife's combined Apple stock holdings are estimated to be between $1 million to $5 million.
With Apple's current dividend yield of 0.35%, the congressman and his wife can expect an annual payout of around $3,600 to $18,000 from their Apple shares. This works out to roughly $1,000 to $5,000 per quarter, consistent with Case's previous purchases.
