Cook Leaves Apple Without Investing in Bitcoin
Tim Cook, Apple's outgoing CEO, has never invested in Bitcoin for the company's treasury despite holding $146.5 billion in cash and securities.
Cook stated in 2021 that he personally owns crypto but declined to add Bitcoin to Apple's balance sheet because stockholders do not buy the stock for crypto exposure.
His cautious stance appears justified as Apple shares have risen about 82% since 2021, outperforming Bitcoin's roughly 12% gain.
