Cooluli Recalls 250K Minifridges Over Short Circuit Risks
Cooluli, an online retailer of minifridges, is recalling approximately 250,000 units after reports of short circuits, fires, and other safety issues. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall due to at least 19 incidents, including a smoke inhalation injury and over $80,000 in property damage.
The affected minifridges were sold on Amazon.com and Cooluli.com between January 2019 and October 2024 for between $80 and $120. The recall covers specific models from the Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty, and Vibe series with certain batch numbers.
Cooluli has instructed consumers to stop using the recalled minifridges immediately and contact the company for a free replacement power cord. Consumers can visit Cooluli's recall website to determine if their unit is affected and receive instructions on how to proceed.
