CoreWeave Wins Multi-Year Deal with Top-Tier Trader, Boosts CRWV Stock
CoreWeave Inc., CRWV, has secured a multi-year agreement with Hudson River Trading (HRT), a top-tier quantitative trading firm. The deal involves building HRT's next-generation AI-driven research and model-development platform using NVIDIA's NVDA Vera Rubin infrastructure.
The use of CoreWeave's AI cloud platform by HRT suggests that specialized AI infrastructure is becoming increasingly important for next-generation quantitative research. A notable aspect of the agreement is HRT's planned use of NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure, which was designed for large-scale AI workloads, particularly reasoning, inference, and agentic AI.
CoreWeave has already established an early-mover position with the platform, having completed the industry's first bring-up and validation of Vera Rubin NVL72 in June. The company simplifies access to NVDA's latest architectures by handling infrastructure complexity, allowing it to monetize each new generation of NVIDIA hardware.
The HRT agreement also broadens CoreWeave's exposure to financial services, with quantitative trading firms such as Jane Street and IMC already adopting the company's infrastructure. Despite these positive implications, competition remains a concern, with hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure MSFT and other specialized providers investing heavily in advanced AI infrastructure.
