Counterfeit squishy toys are making their way into UK convenience stores, often imitating popular brands like Red Bull and Coca-Cola. Data collected from around 13,000 stores shows that these counterfeit products have generated significant sales, with the counterfeit Red Bull-branded toy alone recording over 7,600 sales.

The toys mimic genuine NeeDoh Nice Cubes while carrying major consumer brands' branding, making them nearly indistinguishable from authentic ones. For example, a Coca-Cola-branded version of the toy has been spotted in 5.08% of stores and generated over 7,200 sales.

One retailer, who wished to remain anonymous, sold these counterfeit toys for £5.99 each, stating that they only sold 'a few' per week. However, this revenue could potentially surpass that of official Red Bull products, which average around three units sold per store per week at £5.25.
