'Cowboy Bill' Rides Off into Sunset
William Frank Kerrigan, affectionately known as 'Cowboy Bill,' left this world on September 28, 2009, at the age of 71. He passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family. In his younger years, Bill served in the US Navy during the 1960s before starting his own business ventures.
He owned multiple Chevron gas stations in Boyes Springs and Glen Ellen, showcasing his mechanical skills as an excellent mechanic. In addition to running his businesses, Bill worked on various ranches across California and Arizona, honing his love for horses and spending many years breaking, training, and riding them.
In recent years, Bill developed a new passion for woodworking, transforming his garage into a wood shop where he created beautiful pieces of art. He focused primarily on crafting bowls but also experimented with other projects like custom butcher block islands and picture frames.
