Kazakhstan's energy ministry has confirmed that the operations of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) are not being completely stopped, despite a recent drone attack on a tanker. The CPC had suspended oil loadings on Thursday following the attack.

The CEO of Chevron said on Friday that the pipeline is currently flowing and ships are loading this week. This comes after it was reported that almost 2% of global oil is transported via the CPC pipeline, which is the main route for Kazakhstan's oil exports.

Chevron owns 50% of Tengizchevroil, the operator of the giant Tengiz oilfield. The situation surrounding the pipeline and tanker attack appears to be under control according to the energy ministry.
