CPP Boosts Stake in Amgen Inc.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP) has increased its stake in biotech firm Amgen Inc. ($AMGN), according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In the second quarter, CPP boosted its position by 39.7%, adding 273,719 shares to its holdings, which now total 963,209 shares of Amgen's stock.

This represents about 0.18% of Amgen's outstanding shares, valued at approximately $348.8 million as of the latest filing.

Amgen has been a successful company in recent quarters, with its quarterly earnings per share beating expectations by $0.67 to reach $6.29.
