Cranberry Township Men Accused of Stealing Thousands in Power Tools

Two men have been accused of stealing over $4,000 in power tools from a Home Depot in Butler County. Cranberry Township police charged Brian Ayersman, 39, and Daniel Thomas Houston, 62, with one felony count each of retail theft and receiving stolen property, as well as two felony counts of conspiracy.

The alleged theft occurred on Saturday at the Cranberry Township Home Depot, where video footage showed the duo loading $4,486.98 worth of power tools into a cart before leaving the store. According to police, Ayersman and Houston have committed several identical thefts at other Home Depot locations in recent days, with some exceeding $7,000.

No preliminary hearings for Ayersman and Houston have been scheduled yet.
