CRM Stock Soars on Strong Q2 Earnings Report
Salesforce stock surged more than 20% in its largest single-day jump since 2020 after the software giant's Q2 earnings report exceeded expectations. The company posted revenue of $11.34 billion, up nearly 11% year-over-year and beating the Zacks Consensus estimate.
Adjusted net income was a staggering $3.53 billion, translating to adjusted EPS of $5.90, which rose 103% from $2.91 per share a year ago. The enormous EPS beat was boosted by gains on Salesforce's strategic investments, including in artificial intelligence firm Anthropic.
Salesforce also raised its current fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $46.1-$46.4 billion and now forecasts adjusted EPS of $16.67-$16.71. Accelerating AI adoption, stronger cRPO growth, impressive cash generation, and the raised revenue guidance suggest that Salesforce is proving generative and agentic AI can increase the value of its software ecosystem rather than replace it.
