Data center operator and neocloud provider Crusoe has signed a multiyear cloud agreement with Perplexity to supply Nvidia AI chips for model training and inference. The deal's value and capacity were not disclosed, but it adds another named customer to Crusoe's expanding cloud business.

The agreement will give more than 1,800 Crusoe employees access to Perplexity's Enterprise Max product, which sells AI-powered search products to consumers and businesses. Erwan Menard, senior vice president overseeing Crusoe's cloud product, said that Crusoe will manage the technology throughout its operating life.

This contract follows a recent five-year deal with Jane Street worth roughly $13 billion, with an average annual value of about $2.6 billion. The terms of the Perplexity agreement are limited, leaving the utilization profile and economics unclear.
